NEW FINANCE DIRECTOR JOINS VT GROUP
VT Group, the Defence and Support Services company, is pleased to announce that Philip Harrison will join the Board as Group Finance Director on 19 November 2007.
Philip joins VT Group from Hewlett-Packard (HP) where he has been Vice President Finance, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) since 2002. In this role, he has had responsibility for the finance and administration of this multi-billion dollar division of HP. Among his notable achievements have been the successful integration of the finance teams post the HP/Compaq merger and completion of significant acquisitions in the IT services and infrastructure sectors.
Previously, Philip was Corporate Controller of Compaq Europe, (EMEA). In this role he was responsible for the strategic direction and delivery of accounting services, ventures and acquisitions, real estate, internal audit and purchasing for all Compaq operations in the EMEA region. Before joining Compaq, Philip held various senior finance roles in Rank Xerox including Group Finance Director UK and Ireland where he also managed the UK leasing business. Prior to joining Rank Xerox Philip held several senior roles in Texas Instruments in the manufacturing, sales and marketing businesses in the UK and Italy.
