Raytheon Hosts MILCOM's First-Ever Small Business Workshop

SAN DIEGO, Nov. 14, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) will host MILCOM's first-ever small business workshop, "Defense Industry Collaboration with Small Business - The Role of Small Business in the Military Communications marketplace to Support the Warfighter."

More than 100 small business company representatives have registered for the workshop at MILCOM 2008, Nov. 17-19 in San Diego.

The MILCOM small business workshop will provide an opportunity for small businesses to meet with representatives of the major military communications companies in one location.

A panel session on small business from the customer's perspective will feature representatives from The Boeing Company, BAE Systems, Northrop Grumman, U.S. Small Business Administration, San Diego Procurement Technical Assistance Center, and the SPAWAR (Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center) Small Business director.

The afternoon's matchmaker provides an opportunity for small businesses to have face-to-face discussions on supplier capability and capacity for current programs and future program pursuits with Raytheon and its industry partners. It also offers the opportunity for companies to establish mentor-protege relationships.
