Charles 'Willy' Moore Appointed Chief Executive - United Arab Emirates for Lockheed Martin Global, Inc.

BETHESDA, Md., Aug. 3 - Charles "Willy" Moore has been named Chief Executive - United Arab Emirates for Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) Global, Inc., with responsibility for coordinating the corporation's relationship and ongoing program execution with the Emirates.

"Lockheed Martin has a long history of partnership with the United Arab Emirates, spanning the past 20 years," said Lockheed Martin Chairman, President and CEO Bob Stevens. "I am pleased to have Willy Moore, one of our most talented and experienced senior executives, in-country to ensure this valued relationship is fully supported for the long-term."

Lockheed Martin has partnered with UAE industry over the years to provide the Emirates with world class defense and airlift capabilities, including F-16 multi-role fighter aircraft, C-130J airlifters and Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) terminal air defense missiles.

Moore is currently Vice President and Deputy of Global Sustainment for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. He joined Lockheed Martin as Vice President, F-35 Program Assessments, in October 2004 after a distinguished 36-year career with the U.S. Navy, during which he rose to the rank of Vice Admiral and served as Deputy Chief of Naval Operations, Fleet Readiness and Logistics; Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command and Commander, U.S. Fifth Fleet.

A 1968 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering, Moore holds a master's degree in International Relations from Salve Regina University and a second master's in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College.

Headquartered in Bethesda, Md., Lockheed Martin is a global security company that employs about 146,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services. The corporation reported 2008 sales of $42.7 billion.
