BALTIMORE -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has named Edward J. Bush vice president of C4ISR Networked Systems (CNS) for the company's Electronic Systems sector, effective immediately.
In his new position, based in Baltimore, Bush will have executive responsibility for all intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) enterprise integration activities and associated Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) business areas. This includes providing a C4ISR enterprise infrastructure across the military services and government agencies, the processing and exploitation of ISR data, and expanding its access to missile warning, intelligence, missile defense, space situational awareness and battlespace awareness users.
Bush joined the company in 2002. Since then, he has served as director, Sensor Exploitation Systems and Colorado Operations. In that position, he was responsible for all program operations of various ground mission processing programs, including the Joint Tactical Ground Station (JTAGS), Rapid Prototyping, Integration and Development (RaPID), the Missile Defense Agency External Sensors Laboratory (ESL), and the Ballistic Missile Defense Overhead Persistent Infra-Red Architecture (BOA). He also had responsibility for all sector
operations at facilities in Boulder and Colorado Springs, Colo. In his new post, he will retain executive authority over these programs and operations.
Prior to joining Northrop Grumman, he worked with distinction for other companies in the defense industry, pursuing systems engineering, network operations, and ISR business strategy, and held management and executive positions.
Bush earned a bachelor's degree in physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a master's degree in physics from the University of California at Los Angeles, and an engineer's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California.
