Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates hosts an honor cordon to welcome Malaysia's Minister of Defense Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to the Pentagon today at 10 a.m. EDT. The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon River Entrance.

Deputy Secretary of Defense William J. Lynn has no public or media events on his schedule.

Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Adm. Mike Mullen will deliver the commencement address at the U.S. Air Force Academy at 10 am MDT in Falcon Stadium.

Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Adm. Mike Mullen will host an All Hands Call with the Colorado Springs military community at the Peterson Air Force Base theater at 3:15 pm MDT. A brief media avail will follow.

British Army Maj. Gen. Nick Carter, commanding general for Regional Command South, will brief the media live from Afghanistan at 11 a.m. EDT, May 26, in the DoD Briefing Room, Pentagon 2E973. Carter will provide an update on the Kandahar campaign known as Hamkari.
