Northrop Grumman Awarded Department of Homeland Security Contract

HERNDON, Va. – The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has awarded Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) a contract to design, develop, conduct, evaluate and provide operational support for Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) regional preparedness exercises.

The 20-month, $5.5 million task order stems from the larger National Exercise Program indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract. Under the terms of the task order, Northrop Grumman will support homeland security preparedness exercises in the 28 states and U.S. territories in FEMA regions VI through X.

The Northrop Grumman team includes: Battelle, Columbus, Ohio; ICF International, Fairfax, Va.; DETech, Champaign, Ill.; and General Physics Corporation, Elkridge, Md.

“Winning this competition is a testament to our performance over the last two years supporting the last Regional Exercise Support Program Task Order as well as the 2009 National Level Exercise,” said Rob Womelsdorf, Northrop Grumman Technical Services program manager for the task order. “Our commitment to program performance, technical excellence and customer satisfaction continues to solidify our role in supporting FEMA with their exercise programs.”
