Northrop Grumman's e.POWER Business Process Management Software Platform Achieves U.S. Department of Defense 5015.2 Certification

MCLEAN, Va. – June 10, 2010 – Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) today announced its e.POWER business process management solution, paired with the EMC Documentum® Records Manager 6.5, has achieved U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) 5015.2-STD version 3 certification for baseline records. This new pairing will provide customers with an application that meets Defense Department requirements for electronic records management.

The DoD 5015.2 standard serves as the benchmark for government and corporate organizations that manage electronic records and documents. It sets forth mandatory baseline functional requirements for records management application software used by the Defense Department components in implementing their records management programs; defines required system interfaces and search criteria that records management applications shall support; and describes the minimum records management requirements that must be met based on current Defense Department regulations.

Features demonstrated during the testing included auto-classification and auto-declaration of records. Auto-classification uses information about the document content as well as the business process to classify the record and automatically assign a file plan. Auto-declaration determines when the business record becomes official and automatically registers the document with the records management application.

Testing was conducted by the Defense Information Systems Agency Joint Interoperability Test Command. Northrop Grumman's e.POWER with Documentum is certified through April 2013.
