FALLS CHURCH, Va., -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) has named David L. Jensen vice president of communications for its Intelligence and Information Systems (IIS) business.
Jensen's prime responsibility is leading internal and external communication programs in support of IIS' growth strategy.
Jensen came to Raytheon from General Electric where he was senior vice president of marketing and communications for GE Capital International Services. He was responsible for global marketing, corporate communications, investor relations and internal communications. His background spans 49 countries on five continents, including a five-year overseas assignment.
"David brings more than 20 years of corporate communications and public affairs experience with such major brands as GE, The Boeing Company and Honeywell," said Lynn Dugle, president of Raytheon's IIS business. "With his solid background in domestic and international communications, I look for David to provide IIS leadership in strategic communications, branding, and expanding our business into new markets."
Before joining GE, Jensen was senior vice president of Ketchum, a global public relations agency, and Asia/Pacific public relations manager for Boeing where he worked on the rollout of the Boeing 777. Additional experience includes marketing communications for Honeywell.
Jensen earned a bachelor's degree in international studies and journalism from Arizona State University. He is based in Raytheon's Falls Church, Va. office.
