FALLS CHURCH, Va., --The board of directors of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) yesterday elected Robert W. Helm to be an officer of the corporation. Helm joined the company on May 3 as senior vice president of planning and development, reporting to Jay L. Johnson, chairman and chief executive officer.
