Northrop Grumman Announces Schedule of Media Briefings for 2010 ILA Berlin Air Show

Northrop Grumman Corporation will participate in a series of media briefings during the ILA Berlin Air Show June 8-13 at the Berlin-Schonefeld Airport. Along with industry partner EADS Defence & Security, the company will highlight its key capabilities in the intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, or ISR, domain by providing briefings on two of its RQ-4 HALE Global Hawk derivatives – Euro Hawk® and NATO Alliance Ground Surveillance (AGS).

Euro Hawk® – Currently undergoing testing in Southern California, the operational Euro Hawk® will provide the German Armed Forces with a state-of-the-art, high-altitude, long-endurance signals intelligence (SIGINT) system. Based on the Block 20 Global Hawk unmanned aircraft system (UAS), Euro Hawk® will be integrated with a new SIGINT mission system developed by EADS Defence & Security. This briefing will provide a program status update and discuss recent achievements.

NATO AGS – The airborne element of the NATO AGS system is based on the Block 40 Global Hawk UAS with the Multi-Platform Radar Technology Insertion Program sensor. It was developed to permit a network-centric approach capable of performing NATO missions independently during peacetime or early crisis. This briefing will provide a program status update and discuss how the AGS system provides real-time data, intelligence and target identification to NATO users within and beyond line of site.
