FAIRFAX, Va., --General Dynamics Information Technology, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), has been selected by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) as one of the awardees for the Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise (SITE) contract. The five-year, indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity contract has a total potential value of $6.6 billion to all awardees if all options are exercised.
General Dynamics will provide receptive, adaptive and timely solutions to satisfy current and future information technology (IT) requirements for global intelligence and command and control assets. Departments and agencies supported by the contract include the Defense Intelligence Agency, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Combatant Commands, other Defense agencies and Civilian agencies.
Work will consist of a multitude of services, such as systems engineering, operations support, network operation and administration, web services and content management, information assurance, security management as well as training. Much of this work will support sites worldwide and include maintenance of IT enterprises, data center design, installation and management in addition to technology refresh and network modernization.
