BETHESDA, Md., -- Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) today announced that Christopher Gregoire has been named Vice President and Controller effective Mar. 29, 2010.
Gregoire will succeed acting Controller Mark Bostic. Bostic will continue his position as Vice President, Accounting, for the Corporation after serving more than seven months in the capacity of acting Controller.
In his new position, Gregoire will lead the Corporation's accounting, financial planning & analysis, government finance and tax functions.
"His extensive background in finance and accounting allows Chris to bring formidable skills in financial management and reporting that will benefit the Corporation," said Bruce Tanner, Lockheed Martin Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. "His public and private sector experience will enhance our entire Corporate team."
Gregoire was previously the Principal Accounting Officer and Assistant Controller for Sprint Nextel Corporation, where he led more than 100 finance professionals and was responsible for all external financial reporting and disclosures to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), as well as other duties.
Gregoire is a former partner of Deloitte & Touche LLP in McLean, Va. He also is a former Professional Accounting Fellow at the SEC. Gregoire is a Certified Public Accountant and has a bachelor's degree in accounting from Virginia Tech.
